Sandpoint Men's Group is a dedicated group of men who meet weekly to support and challenge each other in our personal growth.
I realized my relationships weren't fulfilling, and since I was a constant factor in them, I knew I had to change.
I want to let go of things that no longer serve me, and explore how to heal the unknown parts that are holding on in fear of change.
I craved genuine connections with other men, along with a true sense of brotherhood that could foster my personal growth.
I struggle to hold myself to the fire when making a change in my life. I want strong accountability in the goals that I set for myself.
The most important people in my life are my family. I want to be closer to my wife and children in more meaningful ways.
I felt the need for support to become the man I aspire to be and to be surrounded with those who are working to make the same change.

Our History
In February 2005, Owen Marcus founded the Sandpoint Men’s Group (SMG) with 12 initial members, aiming to create an authentic connection between men and challenge conventional views of masculinity while promoting emotional well-being. Owen envisioned a safe environment where men could move beyond traditional stoicism and openly share their struggles and vulnerabilities. Through weekly meetings and establishing structures, the group explored raw emotional honesty and mutual support, helping members dismantle their emotional barriers and embrace a more authentic approach in all things.
Under Owen's leadership, the Sandpoint Men’s Group has inspired many to reimagine their lives and pursue personal and professional goals with newfound confidence. By embracing emotional vulnerability, members have seen significant improvements in their relationships and overall satisfaction, contributing to a broader cultural shift towards a more compassionate understanding of masculinity.
Nearly two decades later, the Sandpoint Men’s Group has expanded to over 60 members and has facilitated significant personal and familial growth for many of its members.
